FUEL INJECTION PROBLEM
Hi. Update on my 500 SL 107 fuel problem. I bypassed the fuel relay and ran live so pump is on all the time. Open all pipe connections at injectors and then opened air intake. Fuel was coming out of all injector connections. Put fuel relay back, turned the ignition on and pump worked as it should for a few seconds, cranked engine over no fuel at injectors.
One thing I have noticed on the fuel accumulator. I can blow through it one way but not the other. Is this correct? Any ideas please Dave |
If you have fuel then its not the accumulator this part is for no return to the tank . So yes one way passage .Out from tank , then no return after start up

In a continuous running condition, at full system voltage, the pump may be able to supply enough volume to overcome a leaking accumulator diaphragm (the leak is returned to the pump inlet). However, when cranking the engine, system voltage, and hence pump output volume & pressure may fall so low that a leak through the accumulator diaphragm could reduce pressure at the nozzles below the cracking pressure of the nozzle check valves. |
You may have fuel, but no pressure .
