1987 560SL Radio removal - stuck

Trying to remove the stock radio, however, when I get to a certain point it sticks and does not come out all the way. I depressed the two tabs, radio slides easily till it just about comes out then a hard stop. Any ideas? Anti-theft lock?

Thanks...Richard

No matter how hard I would have pulled...it would never have come out. Removed the glove box and found that little stinker anti-theft pin!

I don't think it was intended for anti-theft. More likely to stabilize the radio.

Funny - we have been talking about this setup on the BenzWorld 107 forum. That "Stay" is part number A1158200029 - yours is missing the rubber part that slides into the bracket on the right side A1078270014
