1986 560SL - An unknown White Plug near the ignition Switch bundle
I removed the dashboard of my 1986 560SL to fix some cracks. When I tried to put it back, I found I forgot to label on white plug which comes from the main ignition switch wire bundle and now I don't where it should connect to. It's a two-pin small white plug male. The wire of it comes from the big wire chunk from the back of the ignition switch.
I took a picture of it and attached it with this post. Any help/advice is highly appreciated. |

IIRC that is for the key buzzer??? and it plugs into the ignition lock assembly i.e., the piece that the ignition switch attaches to and the key lock cylinder goes into.
Good luck!!!

Found it. It's the plug on the back of the black switch on the ignition lock column.
Thank you so much for the help! |

A black tube under the dashboard on the passenger side
One more question, I also found a black rubber tube under the dashboard on the passenger side and didn't know where it goes. Does it connect to the temperature sensor or something?
Many thanks! |

Yes. To the cabin temp. sensor in the dash. Common for the connecting hose to disintegrate. Repair: https://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c107-sl-slc-class/1529402-560-sl-cabin-temperature-sensor-hose.html

The tube is just above the glove box, you can see from the picture. That's why I was wondering. It didn't seem long enough to connect to the center sensor hole.
