450 SLC C107
Morning, I have recently bought a 1980 SLC, though in very good condition there are a few faults to be corrected I need to remove the rear parcel shelf which has faded, do I loosen the rear seat to get the shelf out.

The way it fits in my W123 is that you need to remove the rear seat first so I'm guess that'll be the way in your SLC too.
If you look on www.startekinfo.com there's a free and legal (!) copy of the FSM for you to use Click on MB workshop resources - then CD/DVD The 107 manual is a little strange to use depending on your browser so bear with - look at how things suddenly change and follow the lines with your mouse and you should find the PDFs you need.

To get answers about your car, you will likely get better responses from this site: https://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c107-sl-slc-class/. When you get there, register and fill in your cp at top of page. Many 107 owners there including some with SLCs.

IIRC, there are two or three little nuts accessible from the space over the gas tank. That space is accessible after removing the back panel in the trunk. You also need to remove the bottom of the seat to access the nuts that hold the bottom half of the seat back.
