In case it's hard to read: upper hose on the monovalve goes to the heater core. Flush there.

Lower hose going to the aux valve goes to the engine block. Also a good place to flush.

Thanks Beast, so when i put the garden hose at low psi to the heater core flush where does the gunked up water come out of? the engine flush hose ?

There's a hose on the right side of the engine bay that connects to the engine. It literally goes out from the firewall and straight down.

It would probably be easier to just undue the drain bolts on the block and rinse until clean.

Thanks, i just had a new radiator put in & replaced mono-valve.. Prior to this i put several bottles of the " stop leak " and mechanic never flushed system:mad:? and i see the particles floating in the overflow tank. he just added new fluid

i believe the heater core is clogged because the heat is very weak ,,,

Several bottles? Yikes.

Flush flush flush.

I did the flush on the heater core, and the engine..but now its running very hot? is it possible what was in the core might have pushed through somewhere else?

also i found what looks like mushy newspaper in the overflow tank, probably the stop leak stuff?

Yeah man sounds I'm it. Unfiltered opinion, but you really f**ked yourself with that stop leak stuff. You're going to have to do multiple flushes to get that crap out. Remove the aux tank and really get that crap out.

I'd also recommend removing your radiator and getting it boiled out at a radiator shop. You might be able to get away with repeated flushing, but it sounds like you have a serious clogging issue on several parts of the coolant system .

As harv has said: flush flush flush. Get some engine coolant flush stuff and run it in your engine for a hundred miles using distilled water. Then flush it out and keep flushing .

Double check your thermostat and water pump.

Good luck!
