Value of 350SLC 4speed car

I'm looking for a new project and may have found a early Euro 350SLC 4speed car. I know manual transmission 107s are pretty rare. Its supposedly been stored inside but hasnt ran for 3-5 years but the owner says it ran well when it did. The D-jetronic doesnt scare me at all and its seems pretty straight forward on whats required to get it up and running again as well as putting a new timing chain on it. Owner says the car has 170k on it but from the pics he sent it looks really clean and has new upholstery inside. Whats the value of car like this? Not running as well as running. Just looking for ballpark numbers as I have been a Porsche and BMW guy and stumbled upon this interesting car. Thanks

It’s not a parts car. It looks pretty decent from the pictures. Just not a lot of pricing info online for these.

Look on BAT. There are a few that have sold. Prices are all over. BTW if you get it I am designing a 5 speed conversion for iron block V8's.

Depending on condition, up to 10K If it is clean. The sticks are rare as hens teeth. Just a guess really. There might not be another around in the us.

It seems like too interesting of car to pass up. Get it running and enjoy it. I prefer manual transmission vehicles so I havent owned many MB's with most of them being Automatics. With how rare it is, it should be at least a break even investment so the wife will be happy lol. Hopefully I can get it for a great price.

The only rare 107 manual trans model is the 500SL 5 speed AMG. Even in the US.

I have two 280SL 5 speed manuals.

What's it worth? Whatever you want to pay for it
What's it worth after you bought it? Whatever you paid for it

It should be a fun car, but not likely to be an investment.

If it is not rusty I would seriously consider it. Does it need to be smogged?

Do you live in the US?

I have never seen in person a 107 v8 with a stick. What number would be rare in your mind? I Have seen a 107 six stick I believe, or at least I know of a fellow who has or had one here.

Euro

SLC will never be that valuable.

I purchased a 1985 280SL 5 speed a few months ago that was a basket case and rehabbed it a bit.

When said and done sold it for $8,000 back to the fatherland to be restored (damn krauts want all the 280SL we bought gray market!).

I wouldn't touch a SLC unless it was for parts.

I bought a 1978 Euro SLC last year for $1,000 for parts and worked out good.

I found a 1975 350SLC for sale runs and drive just really rough and offered them $1,000 then are thought I was low (also I was only person to look at it and offer a price!!).

The stick add more value, but in the end that car is more valuable in parts to be donated to a SL sadly.

I think I heard someone sold a 280 engine for $1,200 and a stick tranny for $1,200 so $2,400 just for engine and tranny for those cars is not bad!

Just my 2 cents, dont kill the messenger!

Didn't notice it was a SLC. That changes a lot. If it was really inexpensive might be worth buying for parts. The V8 stick shift parts are valuable.

It is true the SLCs have not gotten much love here ever. I would not be surprised though if they come up in value one day. They are pretty scarce.
