Car Shipping Companies

I just bought a 1986 560SL in Nevada and need it shipped down to San Diego. Can anyone reccomend a reputable company? Im looking at the Uship app as well as some places from a google search. It seems they are all just dispatch services. Reading the one star reviews on google and yelp it seems that many charge you a $300 fee prior to shipment then increase the price last minute.

I paid $4000 for the car and its going to be a driver so I dont need covered show car service.

Any reccomendations?

I purchased a wrecked Silverado in Victorville and they wanted $700.00 to ship it to Agoura Hills. I just rented a trailer and moved it myself. Las Vegas isn't a bad place for a weekend trip.
When I bought my Pontiac in Indiana it was $1700.00 to ship it by rail so those are realistic price quotes from my experience.
If the Mercedes is driveable you could use one of those two wheel dollies they tow behind motor homes, just put the rear wheels up as you don't want the running gear turning.

I managed to find a Owner operator our of the Inland Empire to ship my new to me 1986 560SL. I didnt want to try to drive a car I never actually look at in person 550miles home in 105 degree heat, especially with NO AC. Hes picking it up this morning and ill have it tonight or early tomorrow. Super excited to get the car home.

I bought my first car in Las-Vegas and I needed to ship it to Phoenix. I didn't have any experience with car shipping, so I asked my friend who is actually a pro in these cases for some advices. He recommended me to call to shipnts.com. So did I. I chose open transport for shipping. Moreover, my car came even faster than I thought. So in the end I was satisfied with the shipment. The car was a bit dirty, but I washed it and made a technical inspection. There were no damages. This company knows their job, so I can surely recommend them. It's better to pay a bit more than spend money on fixing damages which costs much more.
