2004 SL 500 one owner 74k miles 11,750.

Are these cars that bad, the price is one tenth of the original sale price so to speak. What is the problem with these cars anyone knows.

The answer is as simple as A, B, C........as in Active Body Control.

It’s a great suspension system when working as designed. Unfortunately it’s plagued with problems. It’s not DIY friendly, almost always requires SDS to complete repairs, and it’s expensive stuff.......

Thanks. What is the best most reliable of the R129 onward SL all around for daily use in your opinion , I have a 73 450sl and 83 380sl but they are old and not a good everyday car.

At some point I want get a ten to fifteen year old SL. What are you considering expensive? Would it make more sense to just get a much newer one?
