recommendations on first car

i知 stuck between 3 mercedes as my first car and not sure which to get. looking to see if anyone has owned or knows about these cars interns of how they would do in the winter (i live in canada where it snows 8 months) , the overall experience, and somewhat reliability (only looking for a mercedes so not expecting perfect reliability.

i am undecided between a 2004 e55 2009 c63 2010 e550

i知 leaning towards the e55 but not sure if that is already too old, and not sure if the c63 is unreasonably unreliable, and not sure if the e550 is sporty/ powerful enough.

thanks !

None of these cars are without compromise. Are you having a Pre Purchase Inspection done? The purchase price might be reasonable but maintenance costs might be a concern. Have you checked into insurance costs? IMHO, these are not first time buyer cars.

For a first car, you may be better to buy a low mileage Subaru or a Toyota. Used Mercedes can be very expensive to maintain unless you can work on the cars yourself. And with later cars like those, you will need lots of tools and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting..

Don't know where in Canada you live, but you would have to go a long way north to have 8 months of snow! 4 might be more accurate in most regions

After a nearly forty year MB career my choice would be the E550. While it won't touch the other two in terms of power, MB put a really nice tune on the 550.

I wouldn't recommend owning a 6.3 unless you do all the work yourself or you have deep pockets.

The 55 Kompressor engine is one of my all time favorites but you'll be visiting TireRack.com frequently if this is the car you buy.
