Ignition tumbler and lock removsl

73 450sl. I need to remove ignition tumbler and housing to get lock out.The tumbler housing is getting in the way, but I don’t see how tumbler comes out. No pinhole to insert clip for removal.

I have seen this discussed on Benzworld 107 forum. I have a 72, so may need to do this someday.

The ignition switch is not covered in an obvious place! It is under steering, section 46!
