1985 380 SL (Canadian Car) speedo repair

The odometer has given up after 40 years

is there a look up table by VDO model number to determine which gear sets to order to enact the repair (Car is in KPH)

VDO 107 542 73 01

There are no shops near me in Ontario that appear to provide the repair service so I will do myself but just to know the gear count or wait until winter hibernation when I can pull the speedo and count the gear teeth
