Gps

Is anyone with an R129 using an aftermarket GPS?
I'm looking for something that is neat, tidy and clean. I've heard good things about the Garmin Street Pilot lll, but find it rather clunky and untidy. For instance, is there anything that could be installed into the compartment above the center vents on the dash? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Magellan 750 Nav or 750 M are very flexible for installation. The 750M is portable and plugs into the cigar lighter. Look at both at www.magellangps.com. If interested I know where you can get a pricebreak.
Good luck

I have the StreetPilot III and am very pleased with its performance. I was considering the Magellan 750, but with half the price I opted for the SP III instead.

Hi,
Don't know when you posted this but I have a Garmin GPS V
and the sunglass door pops up (the one in the center of the dash) and the GPS perches on top of the door while the door is open. For storage the GPS goes in the wood center door just behind the shift. This is where it also gets its best reception and is visable without interference. The rubber bottom sticks nicely on the leather.
Hope this is helpful
