I think he means he can hear the fuel sloshing around in the tank...

Have you removed any rear insulation or anything that would have "dampened" the noise previously?

Ok..... it sounds like more info is needed. Is it a sloshing noise that is heard inside the cabin, as opposed to hearing something on the car through an open window? Is it a rushing noise?
Do you hear it going around curves or on acceleration or braking?

A Mercedes Benz fuel tank should not slosh. Understand that weird noises can be hard to diagnose over the web. Try and establish when the noise occurs. Full tank, near empty tank ect. ect.

I hear sloshing noises from my gas tank -- usually when it's near a full tank. I thought this was a normal occurrence. Not so?

No sounds from my tanks -- full. empty, nor anywhere in between-- standing, moving, rough or smooth road. None. Period.
