front lock assemblies R129 94'SL500 $432.00 a piece from dealer, any suggestions?

I know I bought a Mercedes but ....Damn!
They said "the new cylinders wont fit in the old latch story" to me "so I gotta buy the assemblies", bastards!

Check FastLane or PartsShop first to see if they can accomodate...if so, I'm sure they can beat that price!

Someone here referred me to Caliber Motors in some oddball parts for my SL from them real cheap!

I don't remember the number, but if you search this forum (for Caliber), you will find the thread.

Otherwise, the boneyard is your best bet. I haven't found the R129 to be difficult to service, but yeah, the parts costs can kill you!!!
