Tax listing for 1990 300SL in NC
I just got a request from the friendly folks at the NC dept of Revenue...they have valued my 1990 300SL at $19,900.00!
This seems more in line with the actual market vs. the KBB! |
Data Point
The state of Georgia values my 300SL at $10080  I think they must arrive at this figure by plugging numbers into a general equation that is used for all cars and ends up depreciating my vehicle at the same rate as a Chrysler K-Car.

In real estate they say location, location ,location; with the SL's it is condition, condition, condition. 86 to 89 560's with low miles and original, still bring in the low 20's in Ohio, so I certainly think that ANY 129 SL in good shape, regardless of year, would bring in the low 30's. I have always believed that Kelly’s Blue book is considerably low for SL's and other low mileage German cars IMO.

Cleaned up
I re-read what I wrote, wow was I tired. I tried to clean it up a little, hope it gets the message across better now. Thanks;)
