SL R129 Dashboard
 

Recent article on SL-series showed R129 with leather dashboard. I have never seen one live.

Any ideas on production years? Must be very early dates...

look at page 6: see the stiches round the dash?
New models, even V12 only have plastic....

Mine has it...
 

Well, I have an early one, which has the leather dash. It was standard.

Did you order your car to have leather dash? As I recall, except the SL600 that came standard with full leather interior, including dash; it was an optional item you had to special order for all other ranges of SL.
