Question Top handles

Has anyone tried these top handles before for your 107r?

Haven't tried them - but with how many times I put my top up and down every day, I sure could use them.

Can someone post the cheapest place to buy them?

E-bay? ************************? Other?

Smile Top Handles

I bought a set from Performance Products a few months ago. The only problem area is when left in the top with the top on the car they vibrate. I plan to fix that shortly by dipping the ends of the handles into a Plastic dip coating solution. I did call Performance Products to complain and I was told all the handles they sell do vibrate if left in the top.

Larry,

Thanks for the feedback; I'll hold off on getting them for now. Any type of vibration just drives me crazy.

they are great , just put black tape around front piece before you put them in.

I bought those handles from someone off of eBay. I don't seem to have any vibration problem with them and they certainly make it a lot faster to drop and raise the top. No more searching through the glove compartment trying to find my top release tool and no more lock nuts twisting back down while I'm unlocking the other side (God that was annoying).

This is the guy that I bought them from, although he doesn't have any current auctions at the moment:

SL Top Handles

Maheath's link is still good on this date. I just used it to buy a set on ebay today, 13MAR03. Thanks for the link, Maheath !! I've been meaning to buy a set for over a year. When I finally got serious, you allowed me to acquire a set in minutes !!
