Arrow Show me your 107!

I'm restoring my 1983 500SL and will like to change its color but am not sure yet on the color. Can you show me your SL to help me decide? I will really appreciate it.

Heriberto.

I'm restoring a 1980 model 450SL since June of last year and I'm almost done with it.
Started last week to replace the interior wood with Burl wood.
New paint with the original color formula from Germany, new upholstery, soft top, carped and 16" chrome wheels.

Uncle .......

I need help. How do I attach pictures? First, in the body of the message as you all have, and also making a file small enough to use as a signature. I have played with this for a while without success, so can you teach an ole dog new tricks?

Thanks

BD

you have to have the picture hosted somewhere else on the internet, and after you do that you click the IMG button in the post screen and it will ask you the URL for your pic. then copy/paste the url and click ok and it should show. as for the sig pic [they call it an avatar] you have to size your pic down to 100x100 I believe. to change that I think it's in your preferences.

Thanks for your pics guys, im inclined to two colors red and Paliz. Already had a red 450 but not sure yet. My car is monochromatic (all the chrome is painted same color as body) so i have to be cautious, new wheels arrived they are the AMG monoblocks. Thanks for any advise.

I get lots of compliments on my red, but there's only one bad thing with a red car. cops. I've been followed home 5 times from school while I was in high school, and had 2 tickets, one of which was 80 on the highway [everybody goes 80 in san diego!!!!] aside from that, good luck on picking your color!

Hi everyone.
Unfortunately I am unable to post any pictures. Heriberto, My 450sl is black and I feel this accentuates the chrome trim veeeeery nicely. I always get a buzz seeing the 107 chassis on the road, but the darker colours (especially black) make me drool.... Hard to keep clean, though....and don't drive around at night with the lights off, whatever you do......

Thumbs up For something completely different . . .

Here's a pic of my '72 350SL (in the background, red with primer spots):

The engine on the hoist is the 5.6 I'm putting in it.

I have done the "virtual bodywork," though, and it can be seen at:
