Looking at 1994 SL600

Looking at a 1994 SL600 at dealer, 44K miles, black, 30 grand.

Any thoughts on problems with these cars, super high maintenance, etc. Dealer also has a 97 with higher miles.

I'm gonna see if they can 'Starmark' the car as part of a deal.

Thanks

All of the options that come on the SL600 were also available on the SL500, so the only difference is the engine, really.

Repairs would probably be higher on the SL600 because there is less room under the hood.

Thanks. Boy I'm glad I gave the car a look over today, what a pig!

The hood pad was falling away in places, the steering had a loud thump and the sales manager talked to me about the car very honestly. Seems they had taken the car on trade locally and sold the car to a local judge I know. The judge hired the local lemon law specialist and forced them to buy the car back.

I was advised that they had spent about 15K on the car including a new wiring harness that routinely fails on those. Benz chipped in half on that.

Glad I got the straight skinny.

NEXT!
