Hello this is my first posting but I have been reading and learning from all of you for the last 9 months. I would like to say thank you. You have lead me through a top end engine rebuild/brakes/shocks/tach cable & guage replacements/and a lot of trouble shooting made easy. I have used all the recomended vendors and have had great success. My 66 230SL now sits ready to receive the new interior and paint. I received the original build sheet information from Mr Paul Huele whom I found through the forum and have received the complete interior from BudsBenz. I'm now investigating paint products and tools. It is now time for me to learn some more. I have not painted a car in 20 years and need some help to learn about new products and tools. i.e. gravity fed guns, PPG 2 part paint and primers. Anyone who can point me in a direction or give me some experiences would be greatly appreciated. By the way I really love the 230SL. I purchased the car in 96 and have done repairs over the years with the majority occuring in the last 12 mths. I have driven the car about 45,000 miles and have driven it hard. So far the only thing I can't get rid of is the smile on my face.
