Finding and fixing a cruise control amplifier
I need some help, and I know you members have been great in the past. The cruise control unit in my 1990 300 SL is starting to disengage after a few munutes of operation. From what I can determine, it sounds like it is the amplifier. It appears that if I can find it and remove it, I can send it away and have it rebuilt for about half of the cost of a new one. Can someone please help me with finding the location and instructions on how to remove it. Please take nothing for granted. I'll need the most detailed help you can provide. Thanks for the generosity you've always shown in helping me and others. Pray for our soldiers, sailors and marines in harms way.

I can't believe none of our members have had a cruise control problem. I know Mercedes Benz is noted for them. How about some help? I really need to beneftit from someone's experience.

Might want to try the search feature. There are literally hundreds of posts on cruise control on this site. I fixed mine by buying a rebult unit. Others DIY per many posts here about bad solder joints resulting from Germans strange solder alloy.
Good luck
