Stupid question, what's the double click on the light switch?

On the light switch you can pull it out twice, Im assuming the first time is for the fog lights. The second click, as you pull it out, seems to do nothing but light up the light switch itself.

Anyone know?

In my E500, the first step is for the driving lights and the 2nd is for the fogs.

The first step is for the front fog lights (for use only when it is foggy) and the second step is for front fog lights and rear fog light (also for use only when it is foggy).

There is a great debate about the appropriate use of fog lights. It is commonly thought that in the eyes of all other motorists your car will be transformed by turning on the front fog lights into a Le Mans racer emerging from the dawn onto the start of the Mulsanne Straight. In fact, you will simply dazzle and distract them.

As a matter of law, if you have a Honda Civic with any non-stock modifications or decals you must run with fog lights at all times. Except, presumably, when it is foggy.

......In the REAR!!!Dah! (LOL):D :D :D :D .
On the W124 it is a single "fog" light as part of the Left rear tail light assy

I know the new audis have a rear fog like this... my friend found it came in handy when a tailgater is behind you. It looks like you have one brake light out and are on the brakes!
