Question rollbar

tell me again...how do I "fix" my rollbar? I have to leave it up...I get the dash light...all this was after a gauge cluster short (from an aftermarket alarm smashing a circuit board...BEFORE I bought the car)...
also...my clock won't set...runs, but set knob doesn't work...
many more puzzles to follow...
thanks,
S.

Do I understand that if you put the roll bar down the red indicators light on the switch? If so, I think a code should be stored in the controller for the roll bar. You can retrieve the code by connecting an LED between pin #7 of the diagnostic connector and ground. Short the leads of the LED for three seconds and a code will blink out. Repeat until all codes are retrieved.

Regarding an LED, I would put a 1k-ohm resistor in series with the LED or get an LED that has a built-in resistor.

Thanks! I have wondered how to approach the code reading...will check all that out soon...I am watching the Iraqis and the soldiers pull down that statue in Baghdad...and now there is gunfire...makes my car woes seem that much more trivial. While I am here...will send pics of the top as soon as I get the hardtop off...send me pics of the area in question...
