HELP!!! Would a 1995 SL500 Inside Mirror Unit fit a 1991 300SL?
Hi, i'm about to buy this 1995 SL500 M-Benz Inside Mirror Unit, but i'm not sure if this would fit my 1991 300SL M-Benz. Please advise! Thank you very much! Zee

I think the basic unit will fit. You should check with your dealer first. Some of the functions the newer mirror such as the infrared sensing for keyless entry may not work.
You should contact MBUSA and purchase a user's manual for your model year. It is only $17 + shipping. You will learn alot more about your car and get better use of the money you spent.

I saw that mirror on e-bay too. The color won't match my black interior. But I suspect with a little technical expertise, a guy could make it work. There are aftermarket mirrors that have auto dimming and temperature displays, but they of course are not true Mercedes. Post if you buy it and let the rest of us know how it goes in. Tod
