thank you i am not alone

i ve been reading for the last 2 hours some of the post. my god i am in heaven.
i finally bought a 95 320 sl an i believe that live can only get better with 500 or 600.
my father owns a 300 sl (93) in germany and my uncle also owns a 500 sl (90) in germany. you could say that it is in the family. but it took me longer to convince my wife than to save for the car.
i love my car. my best friend has a porsche targa (99) he wants me to put it on the line. what line hahaha.
i am glad to be here.

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Congrats on the car and hide the keys for if your wife is anything like mine it want be long until you till be hearing, "Honey, where are the keys to the SL?" Especially on the warm sunny days.

Porsche to the line sounds like jealousy to me.

Enjoy your car!!

congrats on the car, and welcome to the board. Since you look a little new (1 post) might I make a suggestion? If you need any help with your car post it here, a post on the tech help board is rarely answered, but people on the SL board usually are quick to respond. Also, be wary when venturing into the open discussion, because there are quite a few hot heads there who love to start arguments for no reason. Other than that, I hope you have fun with your new car!

porsche to the line

he is actualy a good guy. before the targa he owned a 2000 boxter wich was a great car. i think he misses the convertibles.
idrove his boxter and realized, after shifting gears every 5 seconds in trafic, that i am more a sl guy.(you get diffrent looks from people) .

Congrats bro!! Dont worry about the Porsche, my cousin beat out a 911 the other day with my old 91 500SL. I think the porsche would take it in the turns, but my cousin got a nice straight away and took off. They both split up after passing a state trooper though!!!

Enjoy the SL!!
