convertible hydraulics
My 1991 300SL started spewing hydraulic fluid from the cylinder that activates the boot cover. It lost enough to leave a small puddle on the pavement as it dripped down through the trunk and out the drain hole in the side "pocket" area. Any advise on repair/replacement? Should I seek out a hydraulic shop? How do I add more fluid if possible and what kind to use? Thanks.

I have a mircrofiche that explains how to R & R that leaky hydraulic cylinder of yours. I think it is titled "Body-assembly jobs II". I got mine from TMC Publications in Maryland, though you can also get it directly from M-B for $10.
