450SLC 5.0 vs 500SLC?

450SLC 5.0 vs 500SLC?

Any opinions out there as to which one of these is preferred? I know that the 450SLC 5.0 came with a three speed automatic vs the four speed automatic in the 500SLC. I also know that the motors were slightly (?) different. How reliable is one vs another, or does it just not matter? Anything else to watch out for? Thanks for any help!
