Unhappy Exhaust system rubber donut hangers

Has anyone used something else as hangers than the rubber donuts? Just installed all new ones and the Resonator ones broke within 2 weeks! Yes I checked size before I installed them and I'm curious if there is something better. Any ideas guys??

Thanx

Your dealer should have some that are chain reinforced, they look just like the standard donut.

I used metal loops from a hardware store for the ones at the rear of the muffler.

I used ty-raps. They're usually used for bundling electrical wires, but they work great. Just make sure you get the beefy ones. You just cinch them up, and cut off the excess. They've been on '78 SL for 4 years now. No problems!
