SL 70´s Body Color code ?
 

Hello !

Has anyone had a SL 70´s body color code chart ? Or any site that I can find the SL original colors ?

I need to find the original color code of my brown 1978 450 SLC and a original silver 1973 SL to paint them .

The paint codes are listed at http://www.landiss.com/paintcodes.htm - unfortunately, there are several silvers to choose from. There's also this chip chart - http://autocolorlibrary.com/cgi-bin/search/searchpic.pl?1973-mercedesbenz-pg01.jpg - but it doesn't show a true (light) silver for 1973, only a grayish (dark) silver.

If you want to know the original paint color of your SLC, it will be listed in the car codes plate on top of the radiator support. Typically, they end in G or H to indicate the paint supplier.

If you find a Benz that's the color you like, ask the owner to let you look at the car's codes plate. SL's typically have the color code listed twice in a row, SLC's typically only list the color code once.
