Rattle in rear suspension

I have just noticed a rattle in the rear suspension of my 1991 SL. Its only noticeable when I go over a bump and there is a wall nearby to bounce noise back to me.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Loose brake calipers have been known to rattle. They seem tight when "shaken" by hand, but really get tossed around rolling down the road and taking bumps. Also, shocks can become a tad loose, especially if the rubber mounts fail. I once had parts in the emergency brake fail, and it made a lot of noise. Tod
