I have a 1992 300SL and was hoping to change the fuel filter only I don't know where it is.

Under the rear part of the car, ahead of the right rear wheel. There is a small plastic panel that has to be removed to get to it, easy to remove the panel.

:D Thank you, What a marvel MB is. There are two fuel pumps under that fiberglass cover and that's where the regulator is as well. Now all of this is sprayed with a product called Cosmilene and it is similar to a 'waxy' type of grease. When replacing the filter, gas leaked out and washed some of it away. This cosmilene can be purchased from MSC or Industrial Suppliers or Grainger. It comes in a 12oz. spray can and will also water proof other critical things if anyone is interested. With the fuel pump change I also changed the rear axle fluid, now she's ready for a long drive.
