Are they chasing down trouble codes in the transmission control unit, or are there no trouble codes stored?
If there are trouble codes, what type of codes are you getting?
I won't pick on you or anything about the fact that it's a flood damaged car, but answer these questions:
Have they changed the fluid, based on the flood damage and maybe the fluid has water in it, or at least checked the fluid level and quality?
Did they change the tran control module because of flood damage, or did they replace it to already try to fix this same problem?
Why do they suspect the harness is bad?

hi gilly
after youre reply i called the dealer.(i had the same thought about the fluid). the car is already their for 3 weeks, they did not change the fluid or checked it before i called. they did sent a tech out and said that the fluid was ok with level and no water was in the fluids.

2. they are basically chasing the codes of the computer. aparantly the list is ongoing.(which i understand). so they started with the control marginal NO LUCK the tech putt 10 hrs of search time, i guess looking for connections. the service rep said taht some of the wires are rusty. I belive thats what gives them the idea to want to change the wiring harness.
