Sl500 choking under load
 
Restoration project - 95' Sl500 which sat for 6 months in a police impound... Starts fine on first key - will idle up to 2000 RPM and hold that in P or N. Will idle down to 500 (and sometimes stall out) in D and choke real bad if accelerarion is attempted. New plugs and wires and a fresh tank of Plus gasoline...Any input?

Check the distributor caps. Caused me a major problem not too different from yours.
