Window Work
hoping for some help,
the windows on my 380 always seemed a little slow, and now the passenger side is really acting up. sometimes goes up and down fine, sometimes goes partially up or partially down. so far it eventualy does what i want it to do, but i know it will at one time become completely inoperable. any poiters where to begin??? how hard is it to remove the door panel,i'd like to start with checking the lubrication i guess. thanks for any advice and help. |

Check threads
You can search threads here on this site but I think your 380 will be the same as a 350...You can take apart the switch very easy and clean the contacts 9 out of ten this will speed up a slow moving window. It is easy, and if you mess up the switch is not real expensive. Good luck.

It doesn't hurt to pull off the side paneling and lubricate the slides.

The windows on my 560sl are slow -- much slower than any other car I have had -- I replaced the power window switches with new ones (mostly for cosmetic reasons) and the windows act the same-- it is generally a smooth motion, just slow.
I just figured thats how they work -- anyone have fast windows (on a 107)?

It wouldn't hurt to take the panel off and lubricate the regulator and slides. My Explorer blows the SL away in this department.
As a matter of fact my 911 of the same year ('85) is slow as well.
