560sl spark plug caps
 
Do the spark plug caps screw on and off?

I've got one bad one (hot idle problem now "DIAGNOSED") and I'd like to just replace it since the other plug wires look great.

What causes these things to go bad? The black part of the cap is all expanded and cracked...

You might want to search through the Tech Help forum. I know I've seen detailed directions over there on how to replace the caps, but I don't recall the procedure at the moment.
