Fun thread

I teach high school health and physical education. I know that the pay isn't all that great, but I totally look forward to going to work everyday which is worth a lot to me.

My wife and I have been going to car shows for years and when we finally got to a place in our lives that we could have a car that WE get to take to the shows and gatherings, we just had to buy our sl. The best part is that with six kids (only three still living at home) the car only has two seats.

This is a great site, I have enjoyed reading about what everyone does for a living.

Ken - three and half years later and people are still responding to your question. I might as well join in. I've been in the cogeneration power industry since Dec 1984 when it was an emerging business in the US. I outlasted most of the people senior to me over the years, and now I'm the executive director of the business. Great industry to have been associated with over the years!

I got my parents '73 450SL after my dad passed away last year. I hounded them in '73 to get a silver 450 and they did - couldn't afford it, but they bought it anyway. Great parents! So now its mine. I've always loved the looks of the '73 450 - no 5mph bumpers. I guess that came about as I loved the look of my '68 TR4A IRS - short and squatty. I've been restoring the car for over a year. It should be done by summer 2007!

Currently I'm working as an Emergency Medicine Physician and Associate Professor. In a previous life I did race cars for a living, but a nasty crash at 140 mph and a short coma made me reconsider my career choices ! :dizzy2:

27 years in the computer industry

I have my own software company, where we develop advanced Computer Telephony Integrated (CTI) solution. I have worked with Customer Relationship Management solutions for years and been holding management positions in the legendary Digital Equipment Corp. in the past, for 17 years. A total of 27 years in the IT industry.

Don’t know if the is a market for CTI software in US yet, mostly see the growth in Europe at the moment.

If you mean you will do this on your own, it scares me when I see people say that. 20 years ago, I was on the bond trading desk at a Wall St. firm. I believe civilians CANNOT compete over the longer term with traders at the firms who sit in front of the screens doing nothing else for hours.

You can get lucky, sometimes, but otherwise you are just there to feed cash into the system.

Sales, never had a steady paycheck in my adult life. I started out in print advertising. Since 1998 I have been in the Merchant Account Industry. Every time you use your credit card at one of my accounts I make a few pennies.
