Automotive engineer for Ford for the last 13 years. Had two diesels in the early 90s (79 & 85 300D) before buying our 87 560 SL two years ago as a birthday present for my wife - she was stunned, to say the least. Now I have to fix it.

best,

Dave

If you want to know how crooked a stick is, just lay a straight one next to it.

It's not the tall sails that bring a ship to the port of destination, but the unseen wind.

I teach music and German. I bought my first SL because it was cheaper than new. Now I wouldn't have a new one, I love my 380SL so much!

Student -- presently looking

I'm a pround owner of a 91 300sl(didn't start today). I think the starter is going out. Only has 57k miles. Its funny the kinds of looks you get driving around campus. Nobody ever thinks its more than a couple of years oid.

Anyway, I am finishing my BS in Computer Information Systems in December so if anyone knows of anyone needing an IT guy, send me an E-mail! Somewhere where its warm so I can keep the top down!

I work for a large communications company, probably the same one Jim Selh does, and in the same town. I recently talked to him briefly and anxious for a personal visit since we found out we live about 1.5 miles apart. I am in Call management center and monitor about 150 customer reps in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Have had my 87 580sl almost a week, and fell in love the first time I laid eyes on her. She is midnight blue, grey interion, 90,000 and is as far as I can tell an original car except for new soft top.

Other cars are
04 Chrysler Pacificia
01 Jeep Grand Cheokee
70 Chrysler 300
a few that are no longer with us but loved
93 MB 300E
70 Dodge Chanlenger
66 Ford Mustang

Development Manager / Project Manager / Architect for high rise residential in downtown Sydney but originally from New Zealand. Pilot on the weekends - the few weekends that arent spent under the bonnet (hood if you insist) that is. Was on my 69th car before I made the mistake of buying a Benz and getting hooked. Now I'm on the 73rd (four at the current time) and three of those are MBs. Damn this stuff is addictive.

:p

Machine Tool sales

20 years selling manual and CNC metalworking machines and CAM software to run them. Sold Lasers, Welding Robotics, Forming and Stamping, CNC Milling, Turning, Grinding...

Now selling used machine tools.

Bought a 1985 Euro 500SL with complete AMG appearance package from a friend. Lots of work done, more to come. 120,000 miles and counting.

Started doing my own repair because no one could assure me they could fix an intermittent idle control problem. Now I do it all myself.

PS _ GREGY - Isn't yours the resturant that is shown in the Euro SL cattalog?

Hi i am a financial newsletter editor. Also speak at seminars and run a couple of options trading services. bought my 500 early this year, has been nothing but a joyous experience, has factory kinder seats so the kids love to go cruising with dad. problem is that it is such good condition, not even one ding, i am wary about parking lots. so, i drive a lot and find places where i can parrallel park. I picked up my other solution this weekend, a 1965 porsche 356C - mechanically perfect, interior perfect. exterior - no rust but needs paint - so, I drive that one when i need to park in a lot. can't beat the 500 for top down crusing and power. The 356 makes up for the urge to shift and be loud every once in a while.

Occupation

I'm a Quality Assurance Inspector, Launch Services for the Atlas Rocket program at Cape Canaveral, Florida. Last year my house burned to the ground, the wife and family left, didn't think I was in a mid-life crisis, but decided to invoke my rights. Since everything I had along with my racing quad was gone, I needed a hobby. I always wanted an SL, so I found a 1994 SL500 that needed a few things. Didn't realize you can't get info (books, CD's) on this 129. Any help would be appreciated. Love this puppy.
