just washed the car, waxed it last week, and took some pics today. So far I only have 1 scaled down to post, but post pics of your SL too!

btw, does anyone know where I can host these and other pics for free? I still need to get some london pics up on the net, but I have no space (I was using my bro's but he doesn't have it any more).

Beautiful car and photo! You seldom see motion photos on this board. What are you doing with the hardtop on in San Diego? It must be 75 degrees there this time of year. Your hardtop should be gathering dust somewhere.

actually it's been in the 80's recently, but the hardtop release cable's broken, so I can't do anything about it. My bro and I went out and got these action shots today after washing my car... here's another

I haven't any action shots at all. What a great idea. Best I find a buddy later to get a couple before we loose all our sun for another 7 months ;(

Great looking shots, I'd never really thought about doing some motion pics. Here's my standard fare:

Here's the best I've got so far, from early spring. I've got a great site in mind here in town for top-down and soft top views--just need a sunny weekend morning for the right light. The motion shots are great--but who to work with? have to figure that one out.

4NDELIT:
I'll bet that someone on this board has a remedy for your broken release cable if you post the question. No problem ever happens just once.

there's a couple threads out there on it, but I've tried everything and it just won't budge. I'm gonna have to find a good benz shop to do it for me 'cause I don't want to mess anything up.

The CD manual describes how to release a hardtop when the cable no longer works. It involves drilling a small hole in the back of the parcel shelf and using a long screwdriver or equivalent to open the catch. I dont have the CD to hand otherwise I could be more precise.

Well
I would post a picture of my SL, IF i had a digital camera. I have bought 2 in the last year. An Olymus C700 and a C740. They are both now away at college. Their graduation gifts. So now I sit here and have no digital camera. But I'm working on it.

Looking at a Fuji Finepics 2800. 2.0 meg, 6 optical zoom $245 at Walmart. Should do everything I need for a digital camera. Thought about buying another C740 but at $450 I just would not use the camera that much to justify the money. I do highly recommend the Olympus, but $450 for a C740, not for what I do. I took a bunch of photos with my sons C700. 2.0 meg and 10X optical zoom. They were all great. So the 2800 at 2.0meg and 6X optical will do everything I want.

hey guys... do you think my springs are worn? I look at my car compared to others, and it seems that mine's lower, and it looks tucked in the rear. Also, there's tons of body roll, but I just figured these old cars are like that, especially with the 14 inch rims. Kind of odd...
