I just had a new top installed on my 1990 300 SL. I had it done at a top shop and not at the dealer.The top looks great and seems to be nice and tight. I noticed that on the rear chrome bow coming down from the top of the back window, there is a metal piece on each side rivited to the bow. This piece has a slot which looks like it should have a strap fastened to it. I never noticed it on my old top, burt I heard the metal pieces jingle when I hit bumps. Would one of you 129 owners be kind enough to take a look at your top and let me know what goes there and where it ends. As always, I appreciate your help.
