timing chain replacement

At what mileage would I replace the timing chain and guides on a '74 450SL?

It is usually recommended to change the chain and at least the 4 upper slides at 100k miles. If you can do the labor your self the parts are only about $100. The Haynes manual on the 350 and 450 sl/slc has the proceedure.

ok, looks like 100,000 miles for a timing chain replacement is the answer i was looking for.
