Question 280 SL top STUCK!!

HELP!

I have managed to get the top stuck on the 69 280 SL. I was trying to put the soft top away and managed to get it stuck halfway. won't go away, can't get it back up. the rear window section is in the compartment, but somehow the rest of the top is stuck, and won't follow. it is binding up on something, and I've managed to avoid the helpful neighbor with a crowbar(!) to this point, but I'm hoping that someone has some words of advice. My next step is to begin the disassembly process to try and figure out what is binding....any help is really appreciated, since it looks pretty stupid sitting in the garage like this. could be worse, could have happened out in public I guess!! sheesh.

Search the forums at www.sl113.org. A message was recently posted on how to fix this problem.
