Squeaky Seat
 

The drivers seat on my 83 R107 has recently developed an annoying creak/squeak. Behind the right shoulder near the top of the back rest. Does anyone know of any tricks to deal with this or will I have to remove and strip down the seat?

I hesitated in responding until I realized that you are in the UK and I assume have a right hand drive vehicle -- my car has had a similar squeak-- on the left top of the driver's sear --> when the back is reclined far enough back so that the seat rubs against the wall behind it -- I roll the angle of the back of the seat up a bit -- so that there is no contact -- and the squeak is gone. Are you reclined too far?
