Rear Marker light (107) not working. Happen to you?
Just went to inspection here in NJ and failed because my Right Rear Marker light (Round bulb) wouldn't light. This is the light that is the last bulb in the rear light assembly cluster and is visible from the side/corner of the car. It also serves as the right rear blinker. It works as a blinker but not as a marker.
Anyone know if the circuit is common for both sides as a marker? Any tips or logical points to check before I start troubleshootong at the harness? Thanks! |
Rick -- have you checked to see if the filament for the marker light is out while the filament for the turn signal survives? In the owners manual for a 560sl the bulb is listed as a turn signal lamp 21 W/32 cp and a side marker lamp 5W bulb - I don't know if there are 2 bulbs or one with 2 filaments. This would be the easiest check? If you already checked, sorry for posting the obvious.
