450SL W/ Intermittent heat
Any assistance would be appreciated in what to look for. My 1980 450sl has been running just fine, but last spring, the heater was blowing only cold air. A couple weeks ago on a chilly morning on the way to work, I decided to give it a try, and the heater was blowing out all kinds of hot air (sort of like me when I get on my soapbox). This past weekend, when I tried the heater, all I got was cold air again. What might be some common things to look for? Thanks in advance. BOB

Sounds like the servo or is hanging up for some reason.

Thanks, Neil450. I took a look at it over the weekend, and a few well placed taps with a wrench on the valve and motor actually got the thing working again!!! Some mechanic, huh? Since it is an occasional vehicle that will soon be put away for the winter, I am not going to spend any more time on this problem at present. When it finally craps the bed for good, then I'll look into replacing one or the other. Thanks again BOB
