1984 500sl Parts
My questions are about parts and specs for the euro version I will be buying next month.Is the 500slc engine the same as the 500sl.
and if not what are major differances.Are suspension andbrakes different then what a 380sl uses.these are just afew things to start with. Thank you,JIMWUSA

Check every part.
Get to be friends with Phil at PartsShop because you will have to cross reference the Euro microfiche because the Euro's have a weird mix of parts. Some are common, some are not and some are different for no reason. I have a rear axle configuration off a 1986 and sway bars from a 1985. THere are different spark plug caps on a couple of the cylinders to clear the battery under the hood unlike the US model with it in the trunk. IT goes on and on. As long as you have time and patience. I recommend an extra car.
