Vents blowing hot air

all the time. It's my Mom's '90 500SL. Any ideas? Do the SL's have the same ACC problems like the W123 units? Sorry I don't have more details.

Thanks,

Craig

Is one of the conditions a faulty monovalve causes? It may be. If so this is a very inexpensive and quick fix.

Any comments form others?

I have the same issue with my '86 560 SL. Changed the monovalve but no difference - hot, hot , hot!!!

I usually just turn the fan off and be done with it.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

UPDATE:

She had to have the car towed to the dealer today. Seems the accelerator is sticking, also starts to overheat. A leak was found in the AC system. Dealer wants $4000 to fix. I'm not sure if that's the AC or all the problems.

She doesn't feel safe in that car and needs to get rid of it.

Unfortunately, she's on Oahu and the number of places to have work done on MB's is very limited.
