I drive my 300E every day. 50mi round trip commute. I even have a set of studded snows but haven't used them in a couple years because we've pretty much been in a drought along the front range. I love this car but would really like to have a E420 on the interstate.

280SEL is for sale best offer, see thread.

Wrong. Our XJS was a 92, and despite the visual cues of "Delco" decals scattered throughout the engine compartment, the car continued to exhibit "Lucas-like" electrical ailments...especially the climate control!

So the Jag was traded in for the SL...

..and the car with the most mileage in my sig is the daily workhorse...

'93 BMW 740i (60 miles/day, 186,000 miles). Wife drives an '89 260E (W124) with 150,000. SL only when the weather's right. Although, did decide to take it out last Sunday since it had been in garage so long. Top was still down, so I put it up...unfortunately, didn't even think about the temp outside as I usually have the hardtop on this time of year. I was painfully reminded that the rear window is plastic as I heard it crack. Bad mistake--$$$$

Truck

2000 XLT Ford Ranger, '94 Econoline, or when hauling my family I take the 2004 4X4 Trailblazer EXT. That thing is a hoot off road.

Can't wait for the new MB rag top though.

Nice Jag

Hey mega,

You wanna talk about a small world. There is one of those exact models about 300 feet from me in FULLY restored condition! Iam located in the US Virgin Islands!!

The shop close to me does HYBRID restorations. The chassis and interior are all origianl, but the electrical and drivetrain are Chevy. Similar to the John Jags thing. This guy GUTS the entire car and really does an amazing job with the "resto". Some may bristle at the idea but if I think he starts with cars that were already way past going back to total stock.

I really like the 60's sl's. I grew up looking at a "gullwing" SL on my way to school everyday and would see the "old man" take it for a spin with the top down every now and then. That car just looked SO incredible then, and even better now. A work of art, really.

Much like Bobk, my wife drives the 380SL (conditions permitting) and I drive the '95 C280 daily. Our back up is an S10 pick-up and in when it warms up, the Yamahas hit the road...
