"DRIVER'S EDGE"® SCHOOL....Performance Driving Instruction at it's BEST

"DRIVER'S EDGE"® SCHOOL....Performance Driving Instruction at it's BEST

MBCA Southern Stars Motorsports presents....
The "DRIVER'S EDGE"® SCHOOL....LEARNING TO DRIVE TO THE LIMITS OF YOUR CAR
SATURDAY, MAY 22, 8 AM, JACKSONVILLE, FL
In the Driver's Edge school you will learn what you and your car are capable of in a controlled, safe environment; learn to REact, not OVERreact..........improve your driving skills, be prepared....
handle emergencies - confidence building - defensive driving - get a competitive edge - learn your car's limits - performance driving - car control - better handling - looking ahead - make corrections - learn not to panic - accident avoidance - build on existing skills
A course is laid out using soft pylons. The course is divided into segments and each section is electronically monitored. There is very little "down time", which makes it quite intensive. It is a terrific learning experience for any driver, young or old.
Parents, this would be a great event for your teenage driver. (must be 16 yrs. or older and have a valid driver's license) What a great way to make them safer on the road and have so much fun learning.
Each school is limited to only 14 students. With 2 instructors, there is always one available for you, either riding as a passenger, driving with you as a passenger or you driving alone with them observing your driving from the outside.
Before starting, there is a drivers meeting with a short instructional talk . There will be a break where all the students get to look over their segment computer printouts and have open discussions with each other and the instructors about what they might do differently and see what areas need improvement. There's more discussion during lunch and before ending the school, there is another meeting to discuss the session as a whole.
All drivers must wear an approved Snell 2000 helmet. Some loaners will be available
All drivers and guests must sign an insurance waiver.
This is an intensive course, with very little downtime.
I STRONGLY recommend that you bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, bug repellant, raingear, umbrella (for sun or rain) and, if possible, a chair.
On the Sunday following each school, there will be an AUTOCROSS at the same location. I urge you to attend. It will give you a chance to put into practice, everything you've learned in the school.

DEADLINE: Register and PAY for the 5/22 Jax School by 4/15
(Schools fill quickly, register early. We will maintain waiting lists)

REGULAR PRICE $220 SPECIAL MBCA MEMBERS PRICE $175

Jackie,

Jackie,

The SLK32 looks nice, and AMG makes such a styling difference.

I've just bought my wife a 1999 SLK 230, taking delivery in a couple of weeks, and she's really looking forward to it. And so am I actually.
