Where and How do I open my glove box?

I am a new owner of a 1995 500SL with 8500 miles, (Yes 8,500...long story) Anyway, I can't find the manuals for the vehicle and don't know where to obtain, and I was thinking they were maybe in the glove box....but I have no idea where the glove box is located!!! Any help, suggestions, insight, or etc., is thoroughly appreciated in advance.

You don't get a "glove box". You have either the center console, the compartments in either door, or the 2 compartments behind the seats. You also have the dash compartment if you dont have a cell phone system installed.

I thought some of the 129's had gloveboxes, similar to the 140's. I could be wrong.
There is the storage box above the center dash vents, there is a button to the right of the dash vents that open that storage box (the upper one)(if there is a lower button, that would open the glovebox if there is one).
Be sure to check the door map pockets for the owners manual. The armrest is actually a lid which opens up, the door pockets can hold the entire manual, leather holder and all!
There are also storage areas behind each of the seats, on the floor.

The models with dual airbags (or more) do not have a glove box. Over here the change was in 1993, so prior to that you get a glove box, and after that you get the airbag.

Another place you can look is buy the CD player cubby hole. I had the same problem, car with no owners manual but for some strange reason i reached behind the CD player in the trunk and what do you know. I found a leather case and when I pulled it found out it was the owners manual case. Just another thought.

Yup, lot's of stuff ends up in different places on 129's. That "bootleg" pocket by the CD changer is a good one. Usually lots of golf balls and golf tees too!
