Low rumbling at 60-65 mph.
Hello everyone,
My '94 SL has a low rumbling sound at highway speeds between 60-65 mph. I've had the replaced the center support mount, the rear flex disc, transmissions mounts and motor mounts. The sound is only between that speed range and is a constant sound; not reverberating like a pulse. Of course going faster eliminates the sounds but I do not want to get a ticket. Any ideas of what it could be?

Looks like everyone is stumped. Are you sure it's not the road surface? We're getting a lot of grooved concrete around here that is LOUD. I can't believe communities allow it.
The only other thing that comes to mind for me is wheel bearings, but it doesn't fit the typical symptoms for that. best, Dave |

I'm thinking it is the harmonic balance of the wind passing over and around the car. Is it possible that it is the driveshaft or would that be a constant sound at any speed?
